UN chief urges US to curb "appalling" gun violence
The United Nations chief has urged the US government to take measures to curb gun violence in America. Ban Ki-moon's plea comes after Thursday’s deadly shooting in the State of Oregon.
Ban said in a statement that the gun violence is taking an appalling toll on the American society. He further expressed his deep sadness over the shooting incident that left 10 people including the gunman dead. Meanwhile, US authorities have announced that all the weapons used in the brutal shooting were purchased legally.
